Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.
2 Cor 3:6 (KJV)
In the past when I was just new to grace teachings, just coming out from fiery furnace of the law, I would think that the letter that Paul talked about here is the letter of the law – which kills … and yes, this makes sense at that point. After more development, I understand that the letter is not just law but includes everything that is a story. Can you derive a story from it? Can you personalize the story? That is the letter. For example, the whole of the bible is the letter. As long as you are feeding from what is written as truth, you will keep dying.
The spirit gives life. What is spirit? What spirit? Disembodied voices? An unseen being? Some being you must receive from somewhere? That must come into your life? You already have the spirit which gives life in you. Let’s analysis the attribute of a spirits:
- They are invincible
- They have feelings
- They converse
- They can never been seen (spirit has related to the verse above)
- They give life i.e. they give you the gift of awareness
- They are like the wind
- They are more powerful than each other etc
Quick question: Is there something else in our lives that have all of these attributes? Can we point at something in us that has all these? If we can, then the bible’s version of spirit must be that thing which is in us that has all the attributes of bible’s spirit.
Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
1 Jn 4:1 (KJV)
Believe not every spirit? Try or test the spirits? Is there something else we can point to that has these attributes? Our thoughts? Thought processes? Could the Holy Spirit be thought processes that comes directly from God, Source, Higher Self, Christ consciousness? I have come to accept that as reality. There are thoughts which will mislead you and thoughts which will free you. All the doings of your lives have been directed by thoughts which are the spirits of the bible.
So therefore, when you find yourself stuck in a dogmatic believe what that which is written, then you should understand that you are not able ministers of the new testament or able ministers of the good news and that you are not led by the “Spirit of God” but of false Prophets, for example, take the story of the death of Jesus …
By the way, the false prophets are not bad people. Not in the sense that they might not lead astray. Believe me, they will lead astray so bad it will take something special for anyone to find their way back. What I mean, however, is once you stop feeding from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, you will understand things the way they really are. There is nothing intrinsically good or bad. Everything that is, just is, and is perfect … even the act of making good and evil judgement. The dichotomy and oxymoron of the spirit is foolishness, always, to the mind of men. If you then try to understand what false prophets are, from a point of suspended judgement, you will get a better definition. This I will leave to your interpretation.
So taking the story of the death of Jesus; Jesus died on the cross of Calvary to save man from his sins. This is the bible, the letter which kills. This does not bring anyone salvation because it cannot do anything for man. On the flip side, if a man really believes in this story so so hard and put all its hopes on this story, such man will get a sense of peace, a form of assurance based on the letter. But no matter how to put it, the letter always kills. Because if you stick to your side of the story i.e. for this post, believing Jesus is the Savior of the world, you are creating a separation AND SEPARATION IS THE MEAL OF THE EGO. When you say, I have Jesus, so I am going heaven, you are also saying, those who don’t have Jesus are going to hell i.e. the Muslims and other religion. This thought process is of course, barbaric, but a strong believer of a story would not see it any other way.
Jesus really is the Savior of the world … but who is Jesus? To have the correct answer to this question, we must allow the letter to do its job … which is this: to point you in the direction of the truth. The truth is Spirit and when you find it, it is completely different from the signpost. The bible is a signpost in this case pointing you in the direction of the truth. Instead of using the bible as a signpost, we create altars around the signpost.
Now, it is written that Jesus died before the foundation of the world. While I was still enjoying the story, I came up with the idea that Jesus died in advance because He knows Adam will fall into temptation. Yet such stance raises more questions like, ‘How on earth did Jesus, the man, died from the foundation of the world when Jesus the man died 2000 years ago? I once ask a christian this question in which I got the reply, ‘The wisdom of God is foolishness to man’, quoting 1 Cor 3:19. I was going to tell him that the wisdom of God cannot first get into man’s faculty talk less of man rubbishing such wisdom and whenever God’s wisdom even manages to pass through the thick cloud of man’s ego, man eventually takes a bow. Also God uses that which men call foolish to pull down the pride man has in his own wisdom … but I didn’t.
So we must go back to the signpost, been a good workman, rightly dividing the word. We must bring all cards to the table. Some of these cards are:
- Jesus claims to be the Son of God
- Jesus claims He is the Son of man
- Jesus insinuated He is God
- Jesus is called second Adam
- Paul claims Jesus is equal with God
- Paul informed us Jesus died before the foundation of the world
- Jesus was in the beginning with God
- All things were made by Jesus (if you must take this statement as truth in its complete form, then Jesus made the iPhone 11)
- Jesus claims that although He is one with the Father, the Father is greater than He is
- Jesus talked in parables. If Jesus is God and does only what He sees the Father doing and God inspired the writing of the scriptures, then logic dictates that the whole bible is a parable. In other words, any jack can pick up the bible, read it and either find points to support his/her point of view. Only those who are seeking the spirit will look pass the written word to what it is pointing to.
- Therefore, not only are Jesus parables the only parables but Jesus life, as well as the entire bible. In other words, just as one would not go start a farm because Jesus talked a lot about farming in His parables, one would not claim Jesus as their savior because it is written that way.
- Jesus claims that no man takes His life, rather, He lays it down by Himself and He will pick it up by Himself … although we all know for sure who were actively involved, seeing to it that He successfully dies.
So when Jesus says, ‘Ye are gods’ or ‘You are the son or daughter of God’ or ‘God loves you just as much as He loves Him (John 17:23)’ etc, then you must begin to ask deep questions. One of the most interesting question you can ask yourself is what John 1:1-5 is really saying. That is because the Jesus that died 2000+ years ago did not create the pyramids at Egypt. I am sure He created a lot of things in His time but I am completely certain that He did not create the Samsung Galaxy Note 10. Also, no, He did not give the idea of its creation as well since He understands that the technological system we have is built on excessive competition which causes tech companies to delve into creations that are quite detrimental to the society … yet shiny and you know we humans, we love our shiny material things. If you believe that, ‘In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and with the Word, ALL THINGS … ALL THINGS … were made … YET YOU BELIEVE THIS WORD IS JESUS THAT DIED 2000+ YEARS AGO, then something is wrong somewhere. Either the bible is lying or there is a misunderstanding of the text.
Therefore, who really is Jesus? Did the Holy Spirit do something into the womb of Mary and she miraculously conceived? Do you understand the Holy Spirit is merely the highest thought processes of God and are you also aware that thoughts, especially a strong concept is a living entity on its own? Because thoughts are alive that is why you cannot stop yourself from thinking. There have a will of their own but can only operate when you give them your energy (attention). Powerful living entities which causes suffering and ideas of separation are the demons and devils that Jesus or exorcism is concerned with? Do you understand that literally speaking, Jesus sending the Holy Spirit to earth on the day of Pentecost does not make sense since it is obvious that the Holy Spirit has always been on earth? Can you wrap your thoughts around the fact that God could not have abandoned the rest of humanity and focused on only Israel from the time of creation till the time of Jesus?
All stories when believed as truth produces death including and most especially the stories of the bible. All stories point to the truth and the truth is always ever IN you. Not out there in a book, with a man … but IN YOU. That is where Christ is. That is where God is. In you. You are His temple i.e. the Ego is the temple of God.
Now I must confess that this post is not to explain to you who Jesus is and what His death is. It is for you to learn how to think for yourself. Nevertheless, I will summarize the meaning of the death of Jesus. You on your end must make sure to not believe or believe me for there is nothing to believe or not to believe. Rather, use the information as part of your personal inquiries and examination of what the hell life really is.
Jesus Christ is God in man. Another name for God in man is I AM. This I AM is your Imagination. Your imagination is the reality and the reality is the illusion. Everything that is in Imagination, if the holder of such imaging remains faithful to his imaginal act, will bring into the physical realm such imaginal act because your Imagination is the reality. In other for God to form man and enter Him, God had to die or sleep. This death happened before the foundation of the world. Without that death, the world could not come to be. When God slept, He became man – the physical man, and the Imagination of man is God the Son. The cross on Golgotha depicts that God died and sleeps in our skull. While God is sleeping He gets the idea to create stuffs in His dream. Essentially God is dreaming He is a man. God is dreaming He is you. While in this dream, He promised He will send people into the dream world to narrate the story. It is from this one particular story of God sleeping did every other story that you can think of come from including the story that you were born sometime in the past and you will die sometime in the future. You are the Jesus of the bible. You died and came down to hell. This life is the hellfire of the bible. When you are ready, you will resurrect. The power to resurrect is in no ones hand but yours.
You are of course blessed.
