After Ego, What Next?

Happy New Month!

Buddha said the self is an illusion. Jesus basically said deny yourself. Paul said die to self.

For you see, the Egoic mind (the person you think you are, yourself) has been useful and very creative (mostly destructive) but it is time to move on.

Just like a person who begins their evening with a bottle of alchol, he starts very gently to loose his balance and perception. By the time he is deep into it, he looses his decorum and begins to misbehave so badly.

We are at that point where we have misbehaved so badly. Just look around you. Insanity is the new normal. People believe a “healthy” relationship must involve arguments and fights. People believe in divorces so much, they could divorce four times and still think they are fine, ‘it must be other person’. Nations try to uphold “peace” by arming police with guns or driving war tanks into neighborhoods. One can’t help but ask how these two relate (of course they do, to want one is for the other to exist). The masculine energy (conservatives) and the feminine energy (liberals) are so far in their extremes, it’s only a matter of time before everything gets destroyed.

Now, it is time to look beyond the self, the thinking mind.

There is an intelligence far greater than your ego, far greater than your ‘this is good, this is bad for me’, far greater than ‘I know what is right and what is wrong for me’ and far greater than ‘what you see is what you get’. This intelligence is what causes you to breath, the blood to flow intelligently in you, the digestion of food, to be at the right place at the right time, the stars to remain in the sky, the sun & moon to remain on its path. This intelligence is the very Being that you are.

Eckhart Tolle calls this intelligence, inner space consciousness. In reality, you are just conscious emptiness or conscious no thing. But all these will just be rubbish for your mind as your mind has not the ability to understand it. You must experience it to knowself as it. Then you can be free from your stories.

This intelligence that you are is beyond form and the stories you tell yourself. The stories are what causes you the headache. It is you following the serpent that seduces you to the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

It’s time to get back to knowing who you really are.
