What is sin?

The ten commandments are what exactly? Instructions? Commands? Orders? From a mean God perharps, who knows you cannot obey them and hence punish you?

Short answer: Sin is ignorance/forgetfulness.

Long answer: In my last post, I didn’t include the allegory of Gen 3:24. Looking back, it’s amazing to me because that verse was part of the first sets among verses that opened my eyes to see that the bible is much more than what I just pick up to read. Anyway, here it goes.

So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life. Genesis 3:24 (KJV)

Before I break this down, let me explain a few things. The idea of ‘drove out’, at first glance, seems like a punishment. Heck, the whole of genesis 3 looks like a judgment. However, what is happening here is the same idea of the sacrifices made in Isreal where there is one sacrificial goat and a scape goat. The scape goat receives all the “sins” of Isreal and it is driven out while the sacrificial goat is killed for the “sins” of the nation. The same idea is what happened when Jesus is made the sacrifical goat and Barabbas is made the scape goat.

The story simply repeats itself over and over again throughout the bible. That story is talking about you! Jesus, is a state of consciousness in which the person knows himself/herself to be God. This state of consciousness is that person’s salvation. Haven’t you heard, there is nobody but you in this world…scratch that…in the universe. If there is nobody but you, who will then come to your rescue? For you are the I AM and you, who is the I AM had to die so the you, who is also the I AM NOT can exist. You don’t know your real self because you assume that who you are right now is who you are. You assume that your thoughts, your past experiences, your body, your friends, your family, your regrets, your successes, your pain, your challenges, your job, your preferences over things etc, is what makes you who you are. All these are your I AM NOT. In other for your I AM NOT to be, I AM had to die while taking the “sins” of the world. The I AM who knows Himself to be all there is and nothing else now begins to think He is separate from another. This is what sin means. The I AM who knows Herself to be all-powerful now thinks She cannot run or exercise for too long. This is what sin means. The I AM who knows Itself to be at everyplace at everytime now thinks it is here or there. This is sin. The I AM who knows Itself to be just I AM now thinks He is male or female. This is the sin. The I AM who knows itself TO BE now think He needs something to be. This is the sin of the world that the I AM took.

The “sin” is not bad. It’s not wrong. Without the sin, we would not have water, air, land, male, female, possesions, uniqueness, individuality, original thoughts, past experiences, hot or cold, black or white, love or hate, pain or enjoyment, christainity or Islam, you or me etc.

Here is the catch though: Because you/I forget who we really are, we begin to pass judgment and condemnation in the state of our I AM NOT. What we are really doing is saying that our I AM NOT is right while others I AM NOT is wrong. All forms of judgments and condemnations comes from past experiences. This is the serpent that tempts.

Yes we are all caught up.

So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life. Genesis 3:24 (KJV)

He (God): I AM; your real self

Drove out: Same meaning; to drive out, i.e. sent into this physical, materialist world. Also represents the wilderness the scape goat is sent to.

East: Whew! Lots of meaning. Root word qâdam; to meet (meeting place), word; ancient time; beginning; old. My interpretation: East is simply a point in time/event/consciousness. Going towards the east is going away from God, going back to past experiences which always ends up in suffering. Coming from east to west is moving from past experiences, pain, suffering towards God…just like the three wise men who came from the east. The three wise men are state of consciousness. A state of research and deep inquiry to find the truth. Everyone is the world will one day enter this state of consciousness whether they like it or not.

Garden of Eden: The well taken care-of mind or consciousness. A mind that does not have its thought processes controlled by outside events or past experiences like the news, weather conditions, balance of bank accounts, etc.

Cherubims: Word kerûb; an imaginary thing.

Flaming sword: Flame; same as lake of fire and God being a consuming fire. Sword; word of God (I AM); more accurately, right thinking pattern or righteousness; right consciousness. Flame is nothing bad. It’s just an allegory for, ‘Hey, if you dont know yourself to be I AM, you cannot have life. No one is trying to stop you from anything. You are the one stopping yourself with your thinking pattern i.e. imagining vain things. The flame represents what destroys your Ego or your I AM NOT. This Ego or pride is consumed then you will realise that you are God afterall and if you are God, there is no you and your friend, your spouse, your neighbor, that stranger etc. There is just You. Hence, you will Love others absolutely unconditionally for you will know that even you enemy is you in a different state of consciousness. 1 John 4:7Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. 4:8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.

Every way: Every aspect of life. E.g. Eternal/abundant life in marriage, work, career etc.

Tree of life: Salvation, Jesus, peace, love, joy, completeness is all levels of life.

Final interpretation:

Because of this reason(Gen 3:22), I AM keeps driving out I AM NOT and He places imaginations in my mind to make me forget that I AM. I AM also creates unique thought patterns at every point in my mind to help I AM NOT find salvation.

So you see, there is nothing but I AM. I AM is thinking energy. This energy has levels of vibrations. This vibrations has no beginning nor end. We are called to raise our vibration for all eternity. To experience ourselves to be who we say we are. For this to happen I AM must become I AM NOT to experience itself as I AM. Now you are called not to make judgment. Don’t say I AM is good and I AM NOT is bad. We forget who we are because we judge others and so condemn ourselves since there is no others. There is only you.

Gracias and remain blessed.
