You “KNOW” something, that’s good. You “BELIEVE” it, that’s better, effective and helpful.
John 17:8 For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me.
Acts 9:42 And it was known throughout all Joppa; and many believed in the Lord.
1 John 4:16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
Okay, so how does this help in real life situations, walking with God?
Say, you have a headache. You have head knowledge that God heals. You might have even come across verses were God says He will heal you, is healing you, had healed you.
Btw, let me use this moment to share my favourite healing verse:
1 Peter 2:24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye WERE healed.
Did you notice the past tense? Check your bible to confirm that. Doesn’t that excite you? Don’t you just want to jump up and down shouting yes? No? Just me? Okay then…
So, you KNOW God has healed you from the headache. It’s written and perharps, hopefully, you trust God’s word. But you BELIEVE when you REST in that knowledge. The headache is real and banging but you don’t pay attention to it. You BELIEVE. You don’t run about looking for the next best pharmaceutical pill to swallow. You don’t become frustrated or pass frustration onto innocent friends and family because you have a headache. Infact, it’s at this time you smile more, you become more friendly because you not only know, you believe that you are healed.
Without fail, your body will always line up with your thinking.
Without fail, your physical experiences will always line up with your beliefs.
You claim you believe. Do you act like you do?
