You know, in a way, Apple – the company, reminds me in no subtle way of man choice, to choose the knowledge of good and evil over the tree of life. I guess Apple – the company, know what they are all about but we don’t. Come, read with me. Let us learn one or two things.
The first mistake we make when reading Genesis is to read without pondering or asking for the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Let’s see a quick example.
Genesis 1:1 In THE BEGINNING God created the heaven and the earth.
Revelation 1:8 I am Alpha and Omega, THE BEGINNING and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.
So normally, in the past, I’ll just read Gen1:1 as just what I see and move to the verse. But by simply going to Rev1:8, a new understanding comes. But we must further ask if Gen1:1 makes sense if we just say In Jesus, God created the heavens and the earth since Jesus is known as the beginning. Well does it?
John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 1:2 The same was in the beginning with God. 1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 1:4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 1:5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
Oh my Goddd! That makes a lot of sense. In the beginning was the word – Jesus. All things were made by The Beginning or The Word or Jesus. In Him was life and the life was the light of men. Oh wait a minute…
Genesis 1:2 And the earth was (became) without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. Genesis 1:3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
God said, Let there be light and the light shineth in the darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. Hmmm. So if in Jesus, God created the heavens and the earth, and the earth became formless and void, filled with darkness, it must mean that the earth moved away from The Beginning, since we know The Beginning is the Word which is The Life and that Life is the light of man.
If the Earth moved away from The Beginning (the Light), it must mean the Earth had a free will to make that choice. It is only free choice that would cause that kind of shift. I mean, we know God did not create the Earth without form and void.
Isaiah 45:18 For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none else.
I hope you have a little grasp of how deep the Bible could get with the right Teacher.
Jesus is referred to as a Gardener by Mary.
John 20:15 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? whom seekest thou? She, supposing him to be the gardener, saith unto him, Sir, if thou have borne him hence, tell me where thou hast laid him, and I will take him away.
If she thought He was the Gardener, it must mean Jesus appeared to her as one. She assumed He was a Gardener because they were also in a garden. We know Jesus to also be likened to a tree. The tree of life is popularly and rightly known to be Jesus.
When Adam ate the fruit of knowledge, he was cast outside of the garden. Jesus said:
Matthew 15:11 Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man.
I hope you’re beginning to see the picture I’m painting.
John 15:1 I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman (Gardener). 15:5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
John 15:2 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.
Hmmm. The branch is taken away that’s why we can’t do nothing without him.
SO THEREFORE, the garden was in Adam! The garden is in you. The Gardener is in you! It was not a literal fruit he ate, since we know that does nothing. Also,
Matthew 7:16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Matthew 7:20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
Literal fruit? Of course not.
If you understand the message of Grace, you would know by now that it is God’s word against your reality. God’s word is the way, the truth and the life. Your reality is the knowledge of good and evil. So if you get some earthly success, yayy! That’s good. If you get some earthly failure nayy, that’s bad.
Nothing wrong with these so far UNTIL you decide to eat the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil instead of the fruit from the tree of life.
